Santa's Elves have worked their magic on our Elizabeth St office and the countdown to the festive
season has begun.
Our office will be closed from Thursday 24 December 2009 and will reopen on Monday 4 January 2010.
After more than 16 years, in 3 office locations, working with over 175 clients, Mickey Clark has decided to move on from The Learning Group. While using his passion and knowledge in providing clients with creative solutions to build a widely successful business Mickey also built a unique company culture, with fun and games providing stress relief for a hard working team.
Mickey has made a ‘life decision’ – and he’ll be spending the next little while taking care of his property and animals, riding his motorbike and spending time with his lovely wife Elena.
Meanwhile TLG staff will miss finding the microwave beeping after he reheated his coffee for the fifth time that day, arriving at the office pre-sunrise to find Mickey sitting under the umbrella on the balcony working away at his laptop with the radio turned up to 11, wondering where all the pens had disappeared to (Mickey’s desk/pocket/car/home), and many Friday afternoon “Laundry” drinks while discussing everything under the sun.
We all thank Mickey for the opportunity to join the TLG family and wish him the best in the future. Welcome to our newest member of the “TLG Alumni”.

TLG's Christmas Circus
The Learning Group held their end of year party late in November this year and decided on the fun theme of Circus.
So on Thursday 20th November TLG, our clients, and business partners assembled at our Sydney office for what we hope was once again the first party of the season!
Being a TLG party, we had people dressed up as clowns, lion tamers, acrobats and animals - we even had Rosalino as attendant of a Kissing Booth, though for EEO reasons it was Out of Order!
If you missed out on seeing this year's invite, you can view it here.

The Learning Group and Talent2
You may have seen or heard the news that Talent2 has acquired The Learning Group in order to expand its learning services capabilities.
Both Talent2 and TLG have each sought to find strategic partners to improve their respective business offerings, and we're very excited about the new "union" of TLG's content development and Talent2's Learning Services area, headed up by Peter Goldrick.
A press release about the acquisition can be viewed at the Talent2 website.

Another new start...
The Learning Group is happy to announce that Anette Karlsson has been appointed in the newly created role of Director of Business Solutions, Asia Pacific.
Anette was previously with TLG for over five years as our Business Solutions Manager before moving on to global software provider SAP. In her time there, Anette became an integral part of the team in her role as an Education Account Manager, where she was responsible for identifying, qualifying and selling SAP Education services to assigned named accounts whilst building successful relationships with SAP customer and partners.
Anette’s new role with TLG will see her working alongside Daniel Meek, Director, Business Solutions to develop new and existing business relationships, and she will lead TLG in its push into the Asia Pacific region. We are very fortunate to have her in this role and are excited about this new direction in which we are heading.
